The Farm Cottage

This lovely stone cottage faces South and enjoys the sunshine all day long! We have restored it with much sympathy in order to retain its originality. The Master bedroom has a “Kingsize” bed, one bedroom with “Double” and one “Single” bedroom; sleeping for number six is on a sofa-bed in the sitting room and in our experience there is much competition amongst the children as they jostle to claim who gets to fall asleep watching the flames in the woodstove!

The bathroom, with loo and basin has a very spacious shower, supplied with constant hot water.

The sitting room is typical “country cottage”; the old inglenook fireplace houses a “Villiger” wood stove. There are open beams, stonework and all this is complimented by superior soft furnishings. There is so much character and the atmosphere is one of such cosiness; just a lovely space for relaxation, watching “Freeview” television, DVD, Video, listening to the radio or your favourite music.

The kitchen is particularly well equipped; Aga cooker, “Stoves” electric cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and a fitted range of complimenting units.
The farmhouse table seats six and when not eating someone can stay at home and fine-tune their cooking skills experimenting with the AGA!

The pantry is fitted with additional work surface, shelves and a fridge freezer; beams in here too!

Clothes washing and tumble drying happens in the original dairy, this outbuilding is only a few steps away from the kitchen and we have provided a rotary clothes line in the yard.

Outside you will find a barbeque, parasol, table, chairs and sun-loungers all within easy walking distance of the kitchen. The spacious grounds surrounding the Farm Cottage extend over 2 acres; the children can play and come to no harm here. By the way, there’s even the original outside loo, lovingly restored to its original condition; ideal for reading your early morning e-mails!
