Located in the middle of the Lleyn Peninsula (North Wales), just five miles from Criccieth; “Tyddyn y Felin” (pronounced Ter thin er Velin) was built originally as a small family farm. It stands amongst acres of open countryside and with the River Afonwen running by; is a truly peaceful place to be.
We have a Country Cottage Farmhouse sleeping six, and an enchanting Coach House, “just for two”… self-catering cottages which we have renovated and furnished to the most exacting standard; they are meticulously maintained to provide superior accommodation.
The Lleyn Peninsula enjoys Heritage Coastline, Stunning Countryside, a host of Activities and Attractions; the National Park of Snowdonia is within easy reach.
The Farm Cottage
This lovely stone cottage faces South and enjoys the sunshine all day long! We have restored it with much sympathy in order to retain its originality. The Master bedroom has a “Kingsize” bed, one bedroom with “Double” and one “Single” bedroom; sleeping for number six is on a sofa-bed in the sitting room and in our experience there is much competition amongst the children as they jostle to claim who gets to fall asleep watching the flames in the woodstove!
The Coach House
This enchanting retreat once stored a horse drawn cart and provided quarters for a farm servant above. We have converted it to provide cosy accommodation for two. The downstairs comprises an open plan sitting room, dining area and fitted kitchen. There is a “Clearview” wood burning stove and the floor is Welsh Slate. The house faces East and the floor to ceiling windows allow the rising sun to stream in making for a fantastic Breakfast scene.
We offer accommodation that will give you a sense of space, privacy and seclusion, ideal for the perfect holiday.
